KIJANA JITAMBUE PROJECT –ENDLINE EVALUATION

DAMAX conducted an endline evaluation for the Kijana Jitambue Project to assess the Project’s performance against targets outlined in the project’s Results Framework and measure the impact of the project on participant’s lives. project has succeeded to reach 70,449 beneficiaries, including 33,053 and 28,273 in-school adolescents through improved teaching, and learning methods and empowerment groups (FEMA clubs), respectively, and 1,544 out of school adolescents. To reach in-school adolescents, the project worked in 174 schools, of which 123 schools have FEMA clubs. Capacity strengthening efforts have reached 40 community-based trainers, 3,615 teachers, 2,175 Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) members through established 108 VSLA groups, 390 Youth Savings and Loan Association (YSLA) members through established 22 YSLA groups, 1,184 new learners in 42 out-of-school centers, and 175 Ward Education Officers.
