TdH-NL contracted DAMAX Solutions to evaluate a project aimed at addressing child trafficking for domestic labor in Mwanza. The project focused on reducing child trafficking and unsafe migration by increasing awareness among children, families, communities, and the private sector across five districts in the Mwanza region. It also aimed to enhance child-friendly referral and protection services for victims and strengthen the capacity of law enforcers to investigate and prosecute trafficking cases.

The end-line evaluation adopted a cross-sectional mixed-methods approach, integrating both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Quantitative data was collected through structured interviews with 165 caretakers and 225 children who were either vulnerable to or victims of child trafficking and unsafe migration for domestic labor.

Qualitative data was gathered through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), and In-Depth Interviews (IDIs). These methods provided insights from law enforcers, project implementers, government officials, and beneficiaries across the five districts, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of the project's impact.
