HIV Workplace Qualitative Research in Tanzania.

DAMAX was contracted to conduct a formative qualitative study to assess male health care seeking preferences and norms, including males’ motivations and barriers for health care seeking generally, perceptions of HIV testing, previous experiences with HIV testing, preferences for HIV testing, and acceptability of potential workplace intervention models. DAMAX managed data collection involving 38 FGDs with adult male employees/members in three private corporations, i.e., Mtwara (cement), Arusha(security), and Mwanza (mining) regions, and a transportation association.
