DAMAX Solutions conducted a baseline survey for Plan International in Geita and Kigoma regions to assess the implementation of a project aimed at contributing to national goals for universal education. Specifically, the project seeks to ensure that girls realize their rights to safe, quality, and gender-responsive education by increasing the participation of adolescent girls in primary and secondary education.
The project has several key outcomes, including enhancing girls' agency and fostering an enabling environment among parents and communities to support girls' participation in decision-making about their Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR). It also aims to increase the perceived value of girls' education and expand opportunities for them to receive quality basic education.
Additionally, the project focuses on strengthening systems and competencies to support enrollment, retention, transition, and meaningful participation of girls in education, ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to thrive academically.
