The "Assessment of the Status of the Nutrition Workforce of LGAs in Njombe, Songwe, Rukwa, Katavi, and Kigoma" was a comprehensive baseline evaluation led by DAMAX Solutions under the Chemonics/USAID Lishe Project.
This cross-sectional study, conducted across five targeted regions, aimed to assess the current state of the nutrition workforce within 28 councils, encompassing urban, peri-urban, and rural areas. The study successfully reached 150 health facilities, employed both quantitative and qualitative research methods, using a multi-stage cluster sampling approach to gather data from medical officers, nutritionists, and local government executives.
The project provided crucial insights into the distribution and capacity of nutrition professionals, contributing to the successful implementation of the USAID/Lishe Project.
