DAMAX Solutions has established a strong presence in the health sector, focusing on reproductive, maternal, and adolescent health. With expertise in family planning, maternal and child health, malaria and HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, as well as nutrition and immunization programs, DAMAX delivers comprehensive research and program evaluation services. Our work extends to clinical trials and innovative diagnostics, where we contribute to advancing medical knowledge and enhancing healthcare systems.
Our experience includes assessing the coverage and uptake of high-impact nutrition interventions among key target groups, such as adolescent girls, women of reproductive age, and newborns. We evaluate knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, client experiences, service uptake, and health outcomes, including anthropometric measurements.
Notable projects include the Nutrition International baseline survey for the BRIGHT Project, assessments of maternal nutrition and post-natal packages, iron and folic acid supplementation programs, and supply chain assessments for maternal and child health commodities, Contracted by Pathfinder International under Beyond Bias to undertake exit interview to more than 45,000 adolescents receiving sexual and reproductive health services at 71 hospitals, health centers and dispensaries over a period of 30 months (including during the period of COVID-19 pandemic) and Jhpiego’s Tupange Pamoja [Family Planning] Project evaluation utilizing LQAS approach reaching 3,136 women and girl respondents at 143 health facilities in Dar es salaam, Contracted by UNICEF to map Community Health Workers (CHWs) across Tanzania Mainland. The study aimed to collect data on their number, distribution, roles, training, and skills to assess their readiness for an integrated CHW program. Using a census approach, it will cover all 26 regions and 164 district councils, documenting CHWs in approximately 14,518 villages and mitaa. Our comprehensive approach enables us to provide valuable insights and recommendations for the advancement of these vital areas.
Partnering with more than 50 organizations, including government ministries, private sector entities, and NGOs, DAMAX combines qualitative and quantitative methodologies to deliver insights that strengthen health systems and improve service delivery. With a commitment to driving positive change, DAMAX fosters impactful collaborations and generates actionable insights to enhance health outcomes, particularly for vulnerable populations across Tanzania.
